Since it is not even shipping yet (it was just announced two days ago), the answer is no.
However, we have had a test unit for some time (and we have one in our booth at VON), and yes, it works just like the built-in buttons on the phone. The only issue today with displaying hint status is an artificial limit of eight (8) 'buddies' in the Contact Directory to watch. Once Polycom has released the final firmware for the phone with support for a larger number of watched contacts, the expansion module will be fully usable with Asterisk.
