But this isn't an issue of dialtone detection but one of detecting battery (a much easier task). Shouldn't (doesn't) Asterisk check for battery on an FXO port before using the port? Shouldn't this be an option? (Sorry but I haven't the time to look at the code not to mention think about adding this if it isn't already there.)
