Yes, it works fine for me with v2.16 on my ATA-186's, and also worked 
fine with v2.15.  I've got a Nortel deskset with display and a vtech 
cordless, and both show callerID and names as expected.  I would look 
to your phone as the culprit at this point.

I'm having trouble getting caller*id to appear on my phone connected
to an ATA186, and being called from Asterisk.
Does anyone out there successfully see callerid on their
ata186-connected phone?
The "From:" header in the INVITE to the ATA seems to have the "right
stuff" -  eg
  From: "Study phone" <sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:5062>;tag=as412db061

But my phone doesn't seem to "get" either the text or the numeric
(username) part.
I have lots of unknowns - perhaps the ATA and my phone are not
compatible.  Perhaps my ata isn't configured right.
But, as a starting point, does this work right for anyone else!?
