Great question. Right now, the best place to get access to the doxygen docs is to generate them yourself when you build it from source. Not to deter you from your original intent too much (as I'm always glad to have someone else start learning Asterisk at a source code level), but if your purpose is to try to build a user facing telephony application, you should probably start with some of the higher level language abstract programming interfaces such as ARI or AMI/AGI. If you find that those interfaces don't provide for your application needs, that is a good point to start looking into developing at an Asterisk source code level.
