Hi,

We are receiving the following error when hitting around 500 channels in a
queue using PJSIP:

[2016-02-22 09:20:42] WARNING[31097]: pbx.c:6980 ast_pbx_start: Failed to
create new channel thread
[2016-02-22 09:20:42] WARNING[31097]: chan_pjsip.c:2202
pbx_start_incoming_request: Failed to start PBX ;(

Limits are set as follows:

ulimit -a
core file size (blocks, -c) unlimited
data seg size (kbytes, -d) unlimited
scheduling priority (-e) 0
file size (blocks, -f) unlimited
pending signals (-i) unlimited
max locked memory (kbytes, -l) unlimited
max memory size (kbytes, -m) unlimited
open files (-n) 800000
pipe size (512 bytes, -p) 8
POSIX message queues (bytes, -q) unlimited
real-time priority (-r) 0
stack size (kbytes, -s) unlimited
cpu time (seconds, -t) unlimited
max user processes (-u) unlimited
virtual memory (kbytes, -v) unlimited
file locks (-x) unlimited

Can this be resolved by configuring pjproject in the following way?

./configure CFLAGS="-DNDEBUG -DPJ_HAS_IPV6=1 -DPJSUA_MAX_CALLS=5000
-DPJSUA_MAX_PLAYERS=5000" --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib64 --enable-shared
--disable-video --disable-sound --disable-opencore-amr

Basically setting PJSUA_MAX_CALLS=5000 and PJSUA_MAX_PLAYERS=5000 higher than
the default? I would be grateful for any advice you can offer. Kind regards,
Ross
