If bridging ilbc SIP -> Zap channels, transcoding is done before frames
are queued to jitter (depends on SETUP direction) and thus interpolation
is not applied. I've made nasty workaround in our production system in
channel.c so translating is always applied to Zap channel.
I would be especially interested in ways to reproduce the issues. We
have a tool that can be used to stress test chan_iax and, by
extension, anything in Asterisk. We could probably use it to hit bugs
that show up only under high load.
