That's a feature I've also been wanting - it'd be really nice to be able to do SIP VM notifications when the voicemail box is on another server. I do something simillar, I use asterisk as a voicemail server for our IP-Centrex, basically I have written an application that sends SIP notify message to the centrex when a voicemail has been left or retrieved. I trigger the app with parameters using the voicemail externnotify feature.
