Problem is in *'s MGCP implementation. On the other hand - AudioCodes TP240 is intelligent board, dual span E1, several DSP's and its own ethernet port. It can boot from bootp as far as proprietary VoPLIB via PCI (ca. 10MB of firmware). We tried to communicate with board through MGCP, but asterisk wants some events which aren't implemented in ISDN (such as hook-on, hook-off, and ring generation). Also external MGCP terminals (ip phones) works fine. We prefer to use native communication with board rather than via ethernet port and MGCP.

Then why do you have any interest in Asterisk? It seems you want to avoid using it. :-\

Steve
