When I finally was able to upgrade all my asterisk boxes today so that I could put a PRI between 2 asterisk machines, I noticed a small problem.
Currently I have a asterisk machine with a T400P card, 1 PRI from our telco provider, a channelized T1 to a channel bank(legacy application), and now a PRI to a asterisk machine for testing. The second machine has a TE410P card in it with the PRI back to our primary machine. This machine is acting as the net side of the link. If I restart asterisk on the second machine(net side), the primary machine(cpe) does not see the PRI as having gone all the way down and just repeatedly says D channel on span 3 up. If I stop the asterisk on the second machine and unload the wct4xxp driver, then load it back up and start asterisk, the primary machine sees the link go all the way down and is willing to let the link come all the way back up. If anyone has ideas, I can do many tests on the secondary machine as it's current purpose is testing, but the primary machine must be treated with caution. My current concern is that later when these machines are doing real work, it might be possible for one to fail and the safe_asterisk script to restart it but not be able to re-establish the PRI between them. Both systems are running -head as of today, 6-2. -- Steven Critchfield <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _______________________________________________ Asterisk-Dev mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-dev To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-dev
