DB- and config sync - both has nothing to do with each other. But if you
want to build a cluster, you should use both.

No the GUI documentation so far as I have seen, but with my search
before I wanted to inplement this great piece of software I found out
people shared the MySQL Database between multiple servers and as there
was not referenced to the GUI or documentation in these topics I
wondered why people did that now there is master/slave sync for
config.
