I see this on occasion:
warning: can't find a name server registration for the sender domain '
ci.wilsonville.or.us' - all DNS queries will be skipped!
And it's not just a single host, I see this about once a week with various
domain names often cities co.geauga.oh.us and co.delaware.pa.us. Both of
those also happened this month.
I know this points to a potential dns server error, but what does "can't
find name server registration" mean? Does it mean that it can't find the A
record or MX record for that host? I know my way around DNS well, I think
it's just the language used here that I'm confused by.
If I do a nslookup of the host on any our 3 dns servers, it resolves
quickly and without issue.
Is there any chance that ASSP or the dns module is at fault?? Not pointing
fingers, just looking for the right direction to start looking how to fix
this.
