Dear Listserv Owner,
Effective February 3, 2025, EITS will introduce a CAPTCHA feature for Listserv
logins. This measure aims to enhance security and protect against botnet
attacks.
As a list owner, you will notice this change when you log in to manage your
lists.
What to Expect:
After February 3, 2025, you will notice the addition of an “I am not a robot”
CAPTCHA. When you log in to Listserv, enter your username and password as
usual. After logging in, you will be prompted to select “I am not a robot”
before accessing Listserv.
What is a CAPTCHA?
CAPTCHA stands for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers
and Humans Apart." It's a security tool that helps verify that you are a human
and not an automated program (bot). These tasks are easy for humans but
difficult for bots, helping to keep our listserv system secure.
