Thanks. I still like reading the PoPS manual. Although I will freely admit
that many of the newest instructions are puzzling to me. I wish the
compiler people would publish why they are pushing for some of them. Of
course, it would be helpful if we had a current compiler and I could see
actual generated code. But we're still COBOL 4.2 on z/OS 1.12. Hum, but
thanks to a friend, I do have access to a z/OS 2.4 system on a z14 (Dallas
Innovation Center).
