Backups are scheduled using a cron style notation in admin/services
I'd check your settings to ensure its not trying to start whilst another is
still running

I also got a similar message when trying to export repositories, as even if
you kill a UI window it can still be running in the background.

I am not sure we get access to stopping an export or backup, other than killing
the Artifactory process.

Subject: [Artifactory-users] Backup Errors

I recently upgraded to Artifactory 3.1.1 and have been getting more and more
backup errors. When I parse through the logs to see what might be the culprit,
I'm seeing a ton of these warnings:

2014-02-21 09:31:31,926 [art-exec-6] [WARN ] (o.a.s.TaskCallback :80) -
Couldn't start task
org.artifactory.search.archive.ArchiveIndexerImpl$ArchiveIndexJob#fdaff859-f04d-49f1-9d55-29158f5899da:
Job org.artifactory.search.archive.ArchiveIndexerImpl$ArchiveIndexJob cannot
stop related job
org.artifactory.backup.BackupJob#21bdf268-e384-4a65-9943-d572ab326cf0 while
it's running!

Can anyone give me any insight into what I might need to do? Is there some
index job running that I need to cancel?
