I would like to deploy non-maven .jars via the REST API to a maven-style
repository.

The deployment via Web-GUI generates a pom.xml (out of some parameters) and
*updates the maven-metadata.xml*. How is this done via REST API? Ist there
an option to trigger the update? (The pom.xml probably could be assembled
mostly through the PUT URI I am using.)

Thanks for any hint.
regards
Leo
