Hi,
The 'SG Ranking Server Name to Update' field will contain the Server Name in
the Ranking form records (old Server Name from the previous environment i.e.
source Server) that you require to be changed to the current Server as shown
in the 'AR Server Name'.
E.g.
Source Server Name ('SG Ranking Server Name to Update') > updated to >
Current Server Name ('AR Server Name')
The intention behind this was that you run the Restore Tool against each
Server in the Server Group individually and update the Ranking Form records
for each Server in a sequence from the old reference to the new reference.
You may need to also delete records from the Rankings Form for any records
that are not applicable e.g. you restore the DB from a SG environment with 4
Servers to an environment with 2 Servers, there will be a need to remove the
additional reference records for the additional 2 Servers.
You could also do this manually which you may find easier, but this was
included so you did not have to do this manually.

Kind Regards,
Carl Wilson

Subject: MPS AR Remedy Restore Tool 2.6
**
We are doing a refresh of our staging environment and would like to use MPS
AR Remedy Restore Tool.
Its a server-grouped environment and wanted to know what exactly the field
'SG Ranking Server Name to Update' field would contain. I assume its the
Ranking form update.
Do I put in the old server name (source) or new server name (target) in this
field?
I have used the Restore before, but we've been cascading from a server
grouped environment to a non-server grouped environment and I did not use
this option. This thr first time I am using it to go from server group to
server group.
Any help would be appreciated.
