BMC R&D created specific CMDB AIE integrations and have done the same with AI. There are multiple reasons for doing this.
1. The import is using the join form and not a regular form 2. CI relationships use instance IDs and are not the same as many of the other type of relationships created in ITSM 3. All CI imports whether through the import tool, API calls (ADDM), AIE or AI are slow -----Original Message----- From: patchsk <[email protected]> To: arslist <[email protected]> Sent: Wed, Nov 6, 2013 5:39 am Subject: Can we use AROutput instead of CMDBOuput step to load data into CMDB? ** All the CMDB forms are inherently remedy forms with multiple joins. If we are loading CIs into CMDB through Atrium Integrator, can we load data using AROutput with associated remedy join form instead of CMDBOutput step with CI Class name. (Ex: Use BMC_Core_BMC_ComputerSystem remedy form in AROuput instead of using CI class BMC_ComputerSystem in CMDBOuput) At a high level this seems to be very straight forward, but just want to check with the forum if there are any draw backs on doing this that we did not see coming. The reason why we want to try this approach is we are seeing CMDBOutput step throughput is very slow (6 CIs per sec at the max), where as AROuput is better(A few hundred records per sec) _ARSlist: "Where the Answers Are" and have been for 20 years_ _______________________________________________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org "Where the Answers Are, and have been for 20 years"
