Good afternoon everyone! Time marches on and we need to upgrade the Windows 2003 operating system that our 6.3 Remedy system runs on. We need to upgrade to a minimum of 2008 Enterprise. R2 would be nice.
I haven't found anything yet in the archives that says anyone is running a 6.3 server on Windows 2008. I'm apt to think that's not possible. It would certainly make our lives easier if we could upgrade the o/s and presto, we're in compliance. So if anyone has done this, please let me know. Looking through the documentation for ARS versions after 6.3, there is no information about what AR Server version will run on 2008 until version 7.5, where it says that ARS will run on 2003 *or higher. *The plan would be to upgrade from 6.3 to 7.1, test, then upgrade from 7.1 to 7.5, test, and then upgrade the o/s to 2008 and test again. Does this sound about right? Thanks again for any and all help and suggestions.
