A quick "strings" on the 7.6.04 Solaris version of armonitor reveals the
following:

V_WAIT_BEFORE_STARTUP
V_WAIT_BEFORE_POLLING
V_POLLING_INTERVAL
V_NUM_POLLS
V_POLLED_RPC_PROG
V_SERVER_NAME
V_USER_NAME
V_PASSWORD
V_LOGFILE_NAME
V_EXECUTABLE

Maybe V is enVirement?  :-)
