Subject: Re: Load Balancer for App Server Examples?

** This has been posted several times in the past by different people.
Unfortunately I have not seen any one having that kind of script.
Most of the users have suggested they are using tcp port health check for
ARServer level which is basically checking if the remedy port is alive or not.
This is mostly accurate except a few cases when the port is alive but the
arserver is hung due to thread issues, db related issues etc...
Search for a thread with title:"load balancer ars health check", and you will
find more details and the guidance from Axton and to develop that kind of
script.

Hi all,

I am setting up a load balancer for our Remedy application servers. I need a
scripted probe set up for a CISCO ACE A23.3 load balancer. Our IT guys have
only used HTTP Probes up to this point, so I am kind of on my own with the
script.

Does anyone have an example or a good resource for how to write these scripts
for a load balancer on Remedy? We’re on version 7.1 currently, but will
upgrade to 7.6.4 in the near future.

Thanks in advance!
Scott
