I've never used the stack installer (yet), but I've usually done option 1. You might also be able to install the second server to a separate database with the same name and then repoint it to the original database (via the Oracle TNSNames file).

Have installed one server using the stack installer. Installed in less than 45 minutes with no issues. Now I need to install ITSM/ARS on the second server but the stack installer does not let you run it as a shared in install. Possible Solutions: 1. Copy install files from first server to second (change all local config files) 2. Run the regular installer on the second server as a shared install. 3. Drop the tables space and run stack installer on second server. Looking to find out how others are handling this type of install. Thank you Frank _______________________________________________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org attend wwrug12 www.wwrug12.com ARSList: "Where the Answers Are" _______________________________________________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org attend wwrug12 www.wwrug12.com ARSList: "Where the Answers Are"
