Hi Patrick,

I'm not finding evidence of your statement below. Doing a search of Product
Defects<http://apps.bmc.com/server/available.cfm?fc=REMDEFECTS> on AR System
version 7.6.04 defects on Support Central shows 138 defects. So the number of
defects does not appear to be "shrouded in secrecy" nor is the number above
150...

How did you perform your query?

Subject: Re: Loading Flashboard Variables with overlaid forms - ARS 7.6.04 bug

** I am sure there are more.. about 3 weeks ago I looked at the number of
problems ARS 7.6.04 had (being out in this short period of time) and there were
already over 150 problems.. BMC limits all the problems to 300 in their table
now so no one can see all the issues with each release.. I used to use it all
the time to find my problems, but after I posted the number of bugs were
listed.. they put a Kabaush to that.. so now the listing of problems is
Shrouded in Secrecy..

All,

Just wanted to post this for future reference. We have determined that if a
form has an overlay added to it and you try to bring up a Flashboard Variable
definition for that form, it goes into an almost endless loop pulling the list
of fields and VUIs, as shown in the api logging during this happening.
Developer Studio will sit there running the same API calls/queries against the
database for over 20 minutes and then eventually loads the object (you'll see
your local client's CPU and network utilization rise to a steady rate while
this is happening). When we deleted the overlay for this form, the Flashboard
Variable objects loaded in an acceptable 10-15 seconds.
