The SHR:SchemaNames record should have been created automatically when you
created the class in the CMDB.

Have you searched this form to check if the entry already exists?

The Sync Asset UI form is just another view of the SHR:SchemaNames form.

You don't add entries via the Sync Asset UI view.

Search the Sync Asset UI form to find SHR:SchemaNames entries that you want
to sync.

Personally I've never used the Sync Asset UI function as it adds many
unwanted fields and tabs to the AST form view.

In your situation I'd export the AST:ComputerSystem form to an xml file,
edit the ~ 6 lines in the xml that are specific to the AST:ComputerSystem
form so that they are specific to your new AST form then import the new
form.

Then share all workflow of the AST:ComputerSystem form with the new form.

A bit more long-winded but it gives a predictable result!

Cheers

Peter

Subject: Question Regarding CMDB2Asset utility

**

Hi Group,

I have question regarding a new class that we have created in CMDB
core. Its a subclass of the computer system. I have added the relevant
details to SHR:Schema Names. But my question is how do we add the
corresponding entry details for the new class in Application Administration
Console -> Asset Mgmt -> Advanced Options -> Sync AssetUI with CMDB. when we
put in the values and try saving the form it gives the following error
message "Form lookup or keyword lookup, or both, must be checked when
creating a new entry. (ARERR 44692)". The check boxes do not reside in the
current view of the form. I just wanted to ask if it was the right way of
creating the entry before I go in and add those fields in the view and
continue. The "Lookup Keyword" and "Class Name" fields in the form are
read-only which got me thinking if some other process actually populated
this form. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance!

Thanks

SV
