Mark,

Open up the current emaild.sh file by

more /pathToEmailInstall/emaild.sh |grep JAVA

This will display the current path of the JDK that you currently use..

When you do your file replace, edit (vi) the emaild.sh file and to to that
line and replace the path found on that file with the path that you see on
the current file..
