I recently tried to deploy a Midtier war file in Weblogic and it failed. I'd set up the LD_LIBRARY_PATH (it's tedious that MT 7.5 still requires the LD_LIBRARY_PATH, despite using the Java AR API and only relying on one or two calls from the 'util' part of the API, rant rant), but it still failed. I didn't get around to investigating the exception - I simply deployed it in JBoss (have you considered JBoss?). However, I would be surprised if MT "didn't work" in WL - it may involve pulling out jar files, native libs, etc., from the war file. Why not try deploying the war and pasting the exception that occurs when WL starts?
