Hi Frank,

I'm also looking into this functionality.

I believe that you can control this functionality by creating a "New Business
Event" and select an appropriate Activity Date Range.

If a user tries to schedule a change request (Scheduled Start Date, Schedule
End Date) during the defined date range, they will (by default) get a Warning
Message.

As far as I can tell you can turn this message into an "Error" by going to the
Rules section of the Change Management Application Settings.

I hope this helps!

Thanks, Juan

Is there a way to block users from scheduling changes during certain time
periods?

I have been reading through the docs on using Business Events and Time Segments
but am having no luck. We do not use holiday or work day schedules of any kind.

TIA

Frank
