Are you using the 32-bit Java VM? If so, you may need to make sure that you
have the 32-bit version of the X libraries on your system. Solaris may already
come with them, but on Linux, our default install didn't include them. I had
to install them in order for the GUI to be able to display.

I normally do set DISPLAY=127.0.0.1:0.0; export DISPLAY
( replacing the 127.0.0.1 with the correct IP of the workstation running the
xWindows server component )

Subject: Problem installing xwindows for 7.5 installation

Hi List,

Has anyone tried installing xwindows for the 7.5 installation? We're running
on a Unix (solaris) platform.

We can't seem to set the DISPLAY variable properly so when we run xwindows
installer, we're getting errors.
Error:
"Invocation of this Java Application has caused an
InvocationTargetException. This application will now exit."

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks!
Kaye
