I actually got it from a friend.
He said he installed on windows -- then copied the plugins directory
to his Mac eclipse and it worked.
I have done a little more investigating:
It appears that pure Java will work on the Mac.
So - specifically I am using the 7.5 dev tool against a 7.1 server.
I have these bmc specific directories in my plugins directory on the
mac:
com.bmc.arsys.api_7.5.0
com.bmc.arsys.studio.analyzer.core_7.5.0
com.bmc.arsys.studio.analyzer.ui_7.5.0
com.bmc.arsys.studio.api_7.5.0

com.bmc.arsys.studio.help_7.5.0
com.bmc.arsys.studio.model_7.5.0

com.bmc.arsys.studio.ui_7.5.0
also my configuration/config.ini -- looks like this (this is the whole
thing)
