Duy, I remember our Oracle DBA saying something about running a job that actually "releases the data".
So even if you delete rows, the space isn't freed up until some job is run. Obviously this isn't a solution but hopefully it points you in the right direction. After initial testings, the following results were observed Table Name LOB Name Operation Initial Size (MB) Final Size (MB) B876C18004 C18004 Insert 5000 rows 288 288 B876C18004 C18004 Delete 5000 rows 288 288 B876C18004 C18004 Insert 5000 rows 288 360 This shows that Oracle has not re-used the Deleted space during the 2nd Insert. Has anyone encountered a similar problem and know of a resolution. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! We are running on Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.2.0 - 64bit version on Sun Solaris Version 10, 64 bit Platform.
