Hello everyone, Has anyone had any issues in the change module, change work info form
Here is an explanation given to me and I went to the dev and tried it and the updates do override the original. This is currently turned off in Production because according to the users it has never worked correctly INC30896 - "This is as a result of CR 7014 that was implemented to correct the work info being overwritten. Locking down work info entry is temporary until we get a fix from BMC." CRQ7014 - "Change Work Info being overwritten - this is a workaround until Remedy vendor supplies hotfix - If the sort by date isn't working in the work information table on the Work Info tab in Change then the work information records can get overwritten. Lyndon and Allison able to reproduce." INC13554 - "Bill opened a change request (3159) but, being short on time right then all he did was enter a blank "Install Plan", "Test Plan" and "Backout Plan." Since he was going to come back later and finish entering the needed information he set each of these to be editable. When he came back later, he opened the Install plan entry and added a document which contained the Install Plan in a Word document. He then did the same thing with the Test Plan but when he saved it, it overwrote the Install Plan, changed the summary and notes field of the Install Plan in such a manner that it was identical to what he was trying to put in the Test Plan. The Test Plan did not have an attachment when this was done either. We were able to work around this if he exited the ticket after attaching each document into each Plan section. I hope I was able to explain this well enough to make this issue recreatable, if not Bill can certainly walk you through this issue." INC20204 - "Customer is a Change Manager and has noticed an issue with upadting unlocked Work info entries, which cause her updated entry to overwrite another user's Work info. Ref. CRQ: 6769. Colleen entered info at 8:47am. Kathy entered info at 8:50am. Both entries were different. Colleen went back in and updated the date and phone number in the Notes section of her (8:47am) entry. It saved the changes to and overwrote Kathy's 8:50am entry. Customer has noticed this glitch with other CRQ's, this is not the first or only time this has happened - Also Ref. CRQ5263 Work info entry on 8/23 at 5:43PM overwrote 8/23 3:59PM entry.
