** I have been using TOAD for a number of years now. One of the features is to be able to run a script with TOAD, SQLPlus, or QSR. This way you can use the ability to popup a list of fields for a table or view and check your code before running it. I haven't used either toad nor sqldeveloper that frequently as I'm pretty comfortable with sqlplus although it sucks to a certain extent..
