Try uninstalling all RUT and reinstalling the 7.1 client, we have seen
similar issues which we resolved by this approach

Hello All,
Can anyone tell me if they have experienced the below with ARS 7.1?
 
I have a user who attempts to connect to the database via ARODBC/Excel.
Everything worked fine until I upgraded to 7.1, now the connection bombs
out, everytime with the generic message "Unable to Open Catalog -
Message 94"
I have no idea what is causing this, I suspect something changed with
the ARODBC driver in 7.1 server and the 7.1 client is not updated.
Please somebody write me back something. :) I am perplexed
