If VMWARE isdynamically allocating resources, then how often would you have to run discovery on the virtual servers, and how long would that data be valid? You would be doing a lot of work to have a snapshot of your virtual server configuration that could change at any minute. It may be enough to know if a server is a host (by setting a menu on the ComputerSystem form) and then let the server admins find out the rest when they need to know it. This also makes sense from a change control point of view in that, well, there's no change control the way our customer runs VMWARE. YMMV.
