I have a form that has been used for 7 years. In it a field for email address is set to 30 characters. We have an employee whose email address is 32 characters and therefore will not fit. The error she received originally was "ARERR [306] Value does not fall within the limits specified for the field : (max length - 30) : 536870931" Understandable. When I increase the size of the field, the error changes to "ARERR [552] Failure during SQL operation to the database : ORA-01401: inserted value too large for column Less than 32 characters the error mentions the field id, greater than 32 characters, it's an SQL problem. Its just a character field, nothing special. Any help is appreciated. ARS 6.03 Oracle 9i Solaris 9 Thanks.
