Job Description: ***PERM Preferred - would consider 6 month C-P*** North Atlanta Interface Developer The primary responsibility for an individual in this role will be the oversight of all integrations between the AR System platform and any third-party products or platforms. The interface developer will use their expertise in the construction of interfaces to/from the AR System platform to assist the Architect in defining the capabilities of the platform. The person in this position will also be responsible for constructing solutions using the standard, internal AR System workflow objects. Responsibilities - Work with Architect to develop and/or refine detailed design documents for solutions constructed on the Action Request System platform. - Work with Project Management to provide high-level estimates on the time required to build out requested functionality. - Interact with business owners or analysts to ensure that the functionality outlined in the detailed design document adequately addresses needs of the business. - Develop integrations to third party applications or platforms. - Provide technical guidance to developers of third-party applications or platforms integrating with the AR System platform. - Monitor performance of the AR System application server environment to ensure optimal availability and capability. - Develop migration package materials which will be used in the promotion of developed code to the production environment. - Assist in the development and execution of test cases to validate developed code addresses original business need. - Act as tier-three escalation point for technical support issues specifically relating to the AR System platform. Skills Required - Minimum 5 years experience building custom applications on the AR System platform. Specific knowledge of ARS 6.0 or greater required. - Minimum 5 years experience building API-level integrations with the AR System platform using the Java(tm) programming language. - Experience working with and managing a load-balanced AR System server group configuration. - Expert understanding of AR System logging features and capabilities. In addition, individual must possess a thorough understanding of the tools available to analyze logging data produced by the AR system server. - Expert understanding of the command line capabilities of the tools provided with the AR System platform. - Thorough understanding of three-tiered client/server architecture. - Thorough understanding of the Java Servlet(tm)/Java Server Pages(tm) components of the Java Enterprise Edition (tm) platform. - Thorough understanding of the Apache Tomcat 5.5 web server. - Working understanding of hardware load balancers used to distribute client load across a group of AR System application servers. - Working knowledge of the Sun Solaris(tm) and RedHat Enterprise LINUX operating system environments. - Working knowledge of the Oracle 9i RDBMS product and above average knowledge of SQL. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. - Experience in integrating AR System solutions with Microsoft Active Directory is a plus. - Ability to work with limited supervision manage multiple tasks simultaneously. - Ability to work closely with a diverse group of individuals.
