Hi Dave,

I'm downgrading my CR XI to CR 10 since BMC had confirmed with me that CR 10
is compatible. I do not want to take the risk to still pursue in CR XI as it
is totally supported for my AR 6.3. I'm now putting up the request for the
exchange to be done with my CR vendor.

Not sure you can. We've just installed XI, and seems like we're going to
uninstall it 24 hours after first putting it in.

Major issues with date formats not being handled correctly (ignores the
Crystal XI settings as well as those at the OS level), and I've been looking
for a way to save in an older version, but you get no options. Not even any
way of exporting as a prior version.

If you can find ways of doing it though, I'd love to hear.

Regards

Dave

no one has mentioned the fact.. that you can save in another previous format
with 10 and 11 as well.. if I remember correctly..
So just do that..

Hi,

Just sharing with you on the updates given by BMC to me. They had confirmed
that CR 10 is compatible with AR 6.3.
They are unable to advise further on CR XI as according to them, they did
not test it with 6.3 and hence it is not supported. I requested for them to
test it but they claimed that it's not their practice to test on an "old"
version. Ironically, i am going to upgrade to AR 6.3 and AR 6.3 is new
system to me.
So now i'm going to exchange my CR XI to downgrade to CR 10.

When using OLE DB, it list down all the table names in the ARsystem and i'm
not sure which table to select. Unlike AR ODBC, it listed down all the AR
forms name and from there able to select the relected fields in that form,
something i'm quite familiar with. I'm not super in using SQL commands to
perform query from crystal report, i suppose using OLE DB need SQL command
skillset.

it started clearly that it support Crystal Report 9 only (see screenshot
attached). Crystal Report 10 is for enterprise version .

So like I had mentioned previously, I had contacted Crystal Report
representative and was informed that CR 9.0 is completely not available in
the market.

However CR version 10 onwards is available. Thus, i don't understand why BMC
showed something compatible(CR 9)which already not available in the market?

Now i really do not know what Crystal Report version to use. What should i
do now? I cannot get crystal report 9 and my current CR XI not supported.
I'm left with CR X

but in the compatibility matrix it does not showed that. Pls advise me
further.
