Hi Curtis,

We've been using SSRS (version 2000) for several months now against Remedy
v6.3 without any real issues. The biggest obstacle initially was figuring
out why it wouldn't run on the same server as the midtier. It ended up
being ServletExec (ISAPI version) competing with SSRS. Once we swapped out
the ISAPI version with the AS (Application Server) version, it was smooth
sailing.

If you use SSRS directly against the database, it doesn't matter what
version of Remedy you are using--you'll just need to make sure only
authorized people are allowed to open the reports. This can be controlled
via form access or with permissions in SSRS.

If you have a choice, I'd recommend installing version 2005--it provides a
much better installation and validation process.

Subject: SQL Server Reporting Services

Has anybody successfully used the SQL Server Reporting Services to
generate reports against a Remedy system of any version?

If so could you please let us know any gotchas you might have had to
overcome.

Cheers,
