Hi all,

I just purchased an x13s (16gb RAM, touch screen, 1tb nvme drive, 5g
modem) and was excited to try out OpenBSD 7.4 on it. Unfortunately,
while I can boot the installer from a USB thumb drive just fine, it
eventually gets to the following line of output:

wsdisplay0 at simplefb0 mux 1: console (std, vt100 emulation), using
wskbd0

and then hangs. In case it was a really long timeout, I left it
running overnight but it was still hung at that point with no further
progress.

I tried the latest snapshot and got the same result.

I then tried the 7.3 installer and was able to get a working system
without any issues.

I then upgraded that machine to 7.4 using sysupgrade and got the same
hang on the first reboot (after the tgz files were downloaded).

I don't have a USB C null modem cable so I can't check the serial
console easily, but did the default change from console to serial
console in the 7.4 kernel? Or is this an actual kernel hang that I
could be lightly coached through debugging?

Bryan
