Using Acronis Disk Director Suite, you can take your C drive and split it in half (for example), and make another hard drive out of it. This is called Partitioning your harddrive. So, why is having a C and a D drive good news? In terms of performing a backup: now you don't need that external harddrive as a backup medium because you've reconfigured your existing hardware for this purpose.
