I apologize if any of you have seen this cross-posted in another place, but I wanted to maximize my chances of solving this.
Last night, I fired up XMMS for the first time in awhile, and there were no menus. I mean the menu boxes were there, but there was no words. I don't think this is a configuration problem, as it affects all users, and it worked fine until sometime last week.
