Yes, it SHOULD be possible to run pacman on top of slackware. But you 
should be aware that this path often is a pain in the ass. I've run out 
of curiosity a linuxfromscratch system with pacman, and a lot of arch 
packages worked, but the dependency management was uncomplete und you 
have to tweak some packages.

On the other side I can't understand why somebody should use pacman with 
all the downsides on slackware when you can directly use arch (without 
any downsides)?!?
