I noticed the new rc.sysinit will change the console font to a UTF8 one if it is necessary. I don't know whether other users experience the same, but immediately after the switch the characters on the screen that were printed before the change become garbage. It's not a serious problem, it's just very ugly and I wonder whether we can do something about it (maybe just by moving the font change part around).
