All archlinux installable binary packages should have the extension: pkg.tar.gz
Without exception.

Hello all,

Have started updating my home box running AL wombat. Since im on dialup, im
grabbing packages at work (faster speed) then install them at home. My question
is how do i install packages having extensions bz2, tgz, eg:

Linux-PAM-0.79.tar.bz2
Python-2.4.1.tgz
atk-1.9.1.tar.bz2
cpio-2.6.tar.gz
cups-1.1.23-source.tar.bz2
curl-7.13.2.tar.bz2
[snip]

Can pacman install them 'automatically'? Just an advance query though i
definitely try this at home.

Whats the best approach to install all the grabbed packages locally? The
packages i will burn in the cd. Thanks in advance.

Bender: I dreamt I was in a place of 0's and 1's and all of a sudden... I saw a two *whimper*
Fry: It's ok Bender, don't worry. There's no such thing as 2's.
