If you are using spinning drives, that would explain that, but I use
spinning drives in RAID1 on an Arch server, and I notice no slowdowns.
(yes I/O intensive apps like pacman, etc take longer to finish a
clean-up than on SSD, but no longer that normal before SSDs appeared)
Ralph's post brings up another questions - what happened to 'dstat'?
I see you using 'pcp', I've got sysstat installed, there apparently was
a dstat - is it pcp now?
