The most important thing is exactly what you said. But the reason why I sent 
that email is that I think some people, who are good at technology things, 
sometimes make logical mistake in emotional things. I don't think this is a 
very good thing. At least, for me, this is kind of annoying, especially in 
your case. You made contributions, and they use a wrong logic pointing out
you don't have to be credited.
