Hi,

I'm using Ventoy [ https://www.ventoy.net/en/isolist.html ] to hold a
persistent Xubuntu on a thumb drive. However, it's possible to just copy
additional installs to this thumb drive, too. Since my thumb drive is
ext formatted, in my case Windows won't work, but ext isn't the default.
Maybe this is something similar to what you mentioned.

Ok, whatever "Arch bloat" is for, Ventoy doesn't help with maintaining
an Arch install, so probably this is not similar to what you mentioned.

Ventoy is available either by

aur/ventoy-bin
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ventoy-bin

or

chaotic-aur/ventoy-bin

The Ventoy developer is subscribed to the Arch forums,

Related to Ventoy the Arch Wiki isn't much of a help,
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Ventoy .

Regards,
Ralf
