I don't know the reason for this issue. >$ curl -A archlinux curl -ArchLinux :D When I updated my current /etc/makepkg.conf today I kept "--user-agent archlinux" to avoid confusion. Thanks to this thread I run meld /etc/makepkg.conf.pacnew /etc/makepkg.conf and noticed that /etc/makepkg.conf needed a few updates.
