Thanks, fixed. Installation needs a couple echo statements directed at /etc/profile for me in the future.

Why? There is no such file in any Arch Linux package.
Also, the option name is SSL_CERT_FILE.
All you should need is 'ca-certificates' and SSL_CERT_DIR pointing
at /etc/ssl/certs.
