Arch officially does not support alternative init systems. Therefore, there is no reason to expect that the official repos will go out of their way to help you do so. There is an underlying assumption that any Arch system uses systemd.
Any AUR package is responsible for depending on other AUR packages, if using the main repo packages breaks things. -- Eli Schwartz
