It is bug-feature I think. As I understand it is dns resolving problem. mc try to resolve local ips. You may put it into /etc/hosts

Hi. I just found out that mc (midnight commander) in extra repository is buggy in a sense that it will take around 7 secs or more to start. This happens to me on several machines. Other distro are reporting this issues too: https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?24038 To resolve this issue, I have downloaded mc-mp from community which is more stable.
